Three Ways That We Have Pledged Allegiance To Our Texas Flag

Three ways that we have pledged allegiance to our Texas flag:

1. Honor the Texas flag of 1836; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible.

2. Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one and indivisible.

3. Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God and indivisible
========================================================================
The East Montgomery County Improvement District Board of Directors, with hands over their
hearts and standing upright on the floor-
Recited the state pledge of allegiance, amended recently by the Texas Legislature, through
House Bill 1034.
.

.
.
Three critters that one may find roaming East Montgomery County:

Three elite parade-like happenings:

1. The Krewe of Rex during Mardi Gras.

2. A presidential motorcade, anywhere.

3. The richer folks driving on the Westpark Tollway during peak hours.

========================================================

The Harris County Commissioners Court raised the toll during that time to $2.50-

Leaving the impression that the average working folks, who can't afford to ride on it,

can go elswhere, making the situation for the upscale drivers, quite nifty.

Three Places That One Might Want To Stop In The Woodlands

Three places that one might want to stop in The Woodlands:

1. At a local eatery.

2. At an event at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion.

3. At two certain red lights that are equipped with red light
cameras.
==============================================
Eventually the habit may become a more common sight to see-
As more of those cameras are installed in Montgomery County.
.

.
Three ways to bond with the grandchildren:

1. Take a walk with them.

2. Talk to them.

3. Play a video game with them.
====================================
They can teach the grandparent a trick or two-
As they play, in order to help the grandparent
make it through that part, that is hard for them,
to get through.
.

.
Three things that one might find while shopping for antiques:

1. A treasure.

2. A rare item.

3. Mercury.
============================================
Back in the old days-
Things weren't always known, and made in the safest ways.

Three Tools For Recording Your Geneology

Three tools used for recording your geneology:

1. Family tree diagrams.

2. Oral recording equipment.

3. Submitted DNA
===================================

Researching that family tree-

Can involve a little more than just saying, I am

related to you, and you are

related to me.

.

.

Three ways to grocery shop:

1. After shopping, let the cashier scan your items.

2. After shopping, you scan your own items.

3. While shopping, you scan your own items.

================================================

Scanning of the future, and we won't mind-

Never again having to wait to be scanned in the checkout line.

.

.

Three times that you don't like to be ignored:

1. While ordering at a restaraunt.

2. While speaking in front of a group.

3. While dying at an emergency room.

===============================================

Sad to say-

That such a thing could happen in this so-called
sophisticated modern day.

Three things to do at night in East Montgomery County:

1. Check out a book at the R.B. Tullis Library.

2. Step out to eat dinner.

3. Watch a movie outside.

Up in the sky, while at the same time, on the screen.

.

.

Three things one can buy at Wal-Mart:

1. Groceries.

2. Dell Computers.

3. Anything but guns.

=====================================

If one is feeling a little bit mistreated regarding the sale of a gun.

All one has to do is travel elsewhere in order to get one.

.

.

Three reasons that Wal-Mart is not selling guns anymore in more urban areas:

1. Diminished customer demand.

2. Economic reasons.

3. Catering to upper class.

=======================================

Wonder where Vice-President Dick Cheney buys his gun?

When he gets all of that duck hunting done.

The Original Living Forest

We could hear the train coming in the background-
For at this time, it was a dinstinctive sound.
.
Just like the other sounds that we could hear all around-
The birds in the trees, and the other animals on the ground.
.
Deer were plentiful, amongst the other animals that were seen-
The landscape itself, was a Heavenly scene.
.
We could see the dirt road crossing over those railroad tracks that led to a special place-
A place where we could distinctively see Mama and Papa's face.
.
We could smell the pine trees and all of the beautiful flowers-
Throughout this land, there were no large buildings or towers.
.
Just a beautiful forest that was not well known-
A place that takes us back, before we were grown.
.
Our place where we used our imaginations to pass the day through-
A simple life, without hurry, a blessed place to always come home to.
.
A place in the world where we hunted and fished to our heart's content-
With our family and those before us, many generations were spent.
.
Mama cooking dinner, and all of us kids, doing our chores before Papa came home-
All of our hopes and dreams had plenty of fresh air in which to roam.
.
They say that time takes care of everything, but we know better-
Because our memory serves us well down to the very last letter.
.
We remember walking up the road to see that train close-
Getting our feet muddy, not thinking it was gross.
.
Enjoying nature as it was meant to be-
Taking in every living thing, every blade of grass, and every tree.
.
They say that the entrance of this road, through the years
has needed improvement, for those who later moved in-
But we remember, how it used to be, in the old days, way back when.
.
No improvements, back then, were needed for it looked as beautiful as God had intended it to be-
The "original" living forest situated at Old Hwy 59 and what is now Northpark, that stood proudly in East Montgomery County.
.
Even as the trees have been thinned, and the traffic flies by on this paved road, that we remember as either being dusty or muddy, from a long time ago-
We want to preserve our memories, to a slower time, a time when things were still enough, to hear that train whistle blow.

(For the original families who were fortunate to remember and enjoy this land, as it used to be.)
